THINK TANK

This home page has been set up for Think Tank courtesy of APMA. It may be expanded in the future, but we'll see what happens. I'll be archiving the backissues for Think Tank here.

Below is a message from Robert Lockie, Think Tank's Listmaster & Moderator.

Attention All Military Vehicle Modellers

Are you interested in making contact with other military vehicle modellers around the world?
Are you having a problem mastering some modelling technique?
Are you trying to get hold of some obscure piece of information?
Do you want to bounce ideas off others before committing to print?
Are you trying to acquire an out of production book or kit?
Do you want to find out which manufacturers have made the best examples of a particular model? Are you fed up with running up large telephone bills surfing the net and waiting ages for messages on website-based newsgroups to download?

Then this is for you. Think Tank is a free email-based newsgroup which is run by modellers for modellers to encourage the free dissemination of information between them at a faster rate than is generally available via post and particularly publications. It is distributed to all subscribers on a weekly basis. Subscribers can submit postings to the listmaster and they are compiled with all other postings received that week and then the compilation is sent out to all over the weekend.

There is no obligation to post a message so you can just sit back and read everyone else's responses or make your own contributions. Since it is emailed, you can read through each issue at your leisure once offline and then post any replies at a time which suits you.

Think Tank is not affiliated to any manufacturers, traders or other organisations although manufacturers and traders are welcome to subscribe and may use the medium to announce forthcoming releases or similar.

To subscribe, send an email to Think Tank to receive a welcome letter and copy of the (few) house rules and to be added to the mailing list for the next edition. I look forward to hearing from you!

BACK ISSUE ARCHIVE

Each Think Tank back issue is .txt format. This means the files can be downloaded and opened into Windows Notepad, Wordpad, or nearly all word processing software.

If you are not a subscriber, please subscribe here.

Issues are listed numerically, by Volume. You can click on the file to view it, we have the index at the beginning so you can see the contents of the issue.

You can download the issue by right-clicking the link and selecting 'Save As'. You can then save each file to your hard drive. A possible planned feature will be to download a chunk of archives in a zipped format, once we reach a certain number.
