(snip) There is no ´Muller Maschinen GmbH´ and there's no Waschenbeuren-am(sic)-der-Ruhr´. I checked this - as if the name of the lawyer wasn't already a dead-giveaway... > > Herr Isaac Isaacs, the German lawyer representing Muller Maschinen > > GmbH, (snip) R/ Thors P.S. Will you be at the FOTS? Yes, I though the lawyer's name was a bit suspect as well ;-). FOTS would be the Festival of the Sea in Portsmouth, I assume? I should be there, all being well. Anyway! I have been involved in AFV recognition and am shock at how bad some soldiers are. I once spent my dinner hour (it's about one and a half hours really) explaining to a military clerk the difference between a Chieftain and a T62. Well, I was wasting my breath. That afternoon he failed his test along with many others. The Army at present uses some lead models, of various worth, in scale and detail and a computer simulator that can put a respective green blob in thousands of different positions. I have been trying to display my collection in our AFV recognition cell and it is respected by those passing through. My aim is to leave the army with a collection of 1/35th scale models of current military vehicles that might just help someone one day tell the difference between a 2S19 and a AS90. It is slow work; I have spent a lot of time looking for models that are on the current army training list and of course convincing commander finance of the need for a SA13. Geoff Cooke -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: Listmaster Subject: Friul 2S1 tracks I recently managed to acquire (and then left at T&T, so thanks to whoever rescued it for me ;-) ) the Skif kit of the 2S1, but the tracks are not really up to the standard I would want, so I have been looking for the Friul set (ALT56) for it. I saw a 2S1 at AMPS 2001 which had used them and they looked very impressive. However, searches at both AMPS and Trucks & Tracks failed to bring any to light and I wondered if anyone has a set with which they might be prepared to part? Please contact me off-list at rlockie@platosoftware.com if you can help. Thanks. Much as I like being SMMLie I think I like being a "Thinker" Boy, did I have fun at Folkestone! If my book fund at work matched my spending... Anyhow. I bought a Combat Ready Humber Light Recce Car - very tasty too. Apart from RAF Regt. and the Recce Regt one featured in the Profile, does anyone know of units using these? Hey - what about Milicast doing a Churchill III/IV. And the 75hp Holt from BK Modelcraft. Mike Cooper Sunny Reading UK Nothing shows up in the returns for 21AG Humber LRCs but all my books remain packed away, so not had the chance to look further yet.
